This design is name Pimpernel, thought to have been designed in 1876 and is a classic William Morris design with intertwined vines, leaves and flowers. The colours are green, white, pale yellow and a very dark blue background.
It comes from a gorgeous floral collection of fabrics designed by William Morris. William Morris (1834-1896) is one of the most influential designers of the Arts & Crafts movement, William Morris’ designs are instantly recognisable and much loved by quilters, crafters and dress makers.
